GIAC Board of Directors
I'm a member of the GIAC Board of Directors (BOD), acting as the GSE representative.

GIAC Advisory Boards
I'm a member of the GIAC Advisory Boards (ABs) associated to all the different SANS/GIAC certifications I hold. Therefore, I currenlty belong to the following ABs:

I'm also the moderator of the SANS Forum called “Foro en español sobre formación y certificación SANS/GIAC”.
I was a founding and current member of the ISC's Malware Analysis team, a group of international researchers taking care of the Internet malware health.
I'm a member of the SANS "Stay Sharp Development Network", providing peer reviews of SSP courseware modules in development.

GIAC graders
In May 2004 I helped to design and create a new GIAC certificate for the SANS REM course, the "GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware" certificate, also called GREM. On September 2004, when this certificate was ready to go, I became one of the GIAC authorized graders for it.

WVE
I'm a frequent contributor of WVE, the Wireless Vulnerabilities & Exploits project.

CCN
I'm collaborating, as a security consultant, with the spanish CCN (Centro Criptológico Nacional), a division of the CNI (Centro Nacional de Inteligencia), that is, the spanish intelligence agency, reviewing and developing security guidelines, standards, reports and recommendations for the different Spanish Ministries and General Administration.

SHP: Spanish Honeynet Project
I belong to the Spanish Honeynet Project (SHP), an organization of security professionals dedicated to information security focused on honeynet technologies.
On January 2005 we became part of the worlwide Honeynet Research Alliance.

Criptored
When my TCP/IP book was published on Criptored, the Criptography and Information Security Iberoamerican network, I became a member of it.
