FIST ESNE UPM HP RedIRIS CCN CAPSDESI/DISI OWASP SANS

During the last years I have been presenting and speaking at several security conferences, trying to improve the general security awareness and the technical concepts behind the security technologies and solutions available today.
Additionally, I have an extensive teaching background. I started teaching some Java programming classes at the University and since then I have been practicing my teaching skills frequently, mainly focused on the security field.

FIST
I have been a frequent speaker at the FIST Conferences in Madrid during 2004 and 2005. Their main mission is to promote the information security knowledge through free access events. In Spain they take place in Madrid and Barcelona. Since late 2004 the conferences are also promoted by ISSA and count as CISSP CPE credits.

ESNE
Speaker in the "I Mesa Redonda Interprofesional sobre Gestión y Seguridad TIC" that took place on ESNE (Escuela Superior de Negocios) in Madrid the 18th of January 2006, presenting "Nuevas Tecnologías de Seguridad para 2006: Honeynets de 3ª generación".

UPM
Speaker in the conferences of the "GALENSI" (GESTION, AUDITORIA, NORMATIVAS Y LEGISLACION EN SEGURIDAD INFORMATICA) subject, part of the Computer University degree offered by EUI-UPM in Madrid for the 2005-2006 course, presenting "AMENAZAS Y MECANISMOS DE SEGURIDAD EN EL 2006: HONEYNETS DE TERCERA GENERACION" (March 14, 2006).

HP
As a Security Technical Consultant at HP I have spoken at several security conferences, performing hacking, incident handling and investigation, forensic analysis... demonstrations as well as other security services and solutions presentations.
Additionally I developed the "Information Security technical workshop", an HP 3-day bootcamp security training whose main goal was to increase the security knowledge and technical capabilities of the HP Support organization. A population of more than 125 engineers attended to the six different sessions celebrated in Spain between 2002 and 2003.
Besides, I have developed and taught several security courses to the HP customers IT and security teams.

RedIRIS
On March 2009 I spoke at the "VII Foro de seguridad RedIRIS", "Secure network and services architectures", about To VoIP or not to VoIP, esa es la cuestión to the members of the Spanish Network of Research and Development (RedIRIS).

On March 2008 I spoke at the "VI Foro de seguridad RedIRIS", "Web Security", about Web applications security: a practical approach on universities (UCLM) to the members of the Spanish Network of Research and Development (RedIRIS).

On April 2007 I spoke at the "V Foro de seguridad RedIRIS", "Intrusion Detection", about Honeynets, Know Your Enemy to the members of the Spanish Network of Research and Development (RedIRIS).
The presentation and the references are publicly available on the Web.
On March 2006 I spoke at the "IV Foro de seguridad RedIRIS", "Wireless Networks Security", about Advanced hacking techniques on wireless networks to the members of the Spanish Network of Research and Development (RedIRIS).
The presentation and the video are publicly available on the Web.
On April 2005 I spoke at the "III Foro de seguridad RedIRIS" about Windows Forensics to a population of about 100 members of the Spanish Network of Research and Development.

CCN
On September 2006 I become a security consultant for the CCN in Spain. As a result, I have perfomed several presentations, such as:
- "Perimeter Security & Honeynets". Seminario STIC. 11/10/2006. UIMP - Cuenca.

CAPSDESI/DISI
At the end of November 2006, the First Iberoamerican Congress from the Cátedra UPM Applus+ de Seguridad y Desarrollo de la Sociedad de la Información (CAPSDESI) took place in Madrid, together with the "Día Internacional de Seguridad de la Información" (DISI). I made a presentation about Honeynets during this event.

OWASP
On March 2008, I spoke at the III OWASP Spain Meeting in Barcelona about Web security threats and incidents: myth or reality (in Spanish), including a quick demo of how to hack an embeded device.

SANS
In 2005 I started teaching for SANS with the goal of improving the security awareness of the entire IT community and increasing the technical capabilities of the security community.
